We are not currently accepting dogs into our program from the public. Most of our dogs come into the Lucas County Pit Crew from kill shelters and pounds. Lucas County dogs are our first priority for intake.

Adoption applications can be obtained by sending an email to pitcrewapplication@gmail.com

For information on fostering a dog, dog safety education programs, or media information please contact Jean: canineadvocate1@yahoo.com

To be added to our volunteer list, please email Amy at aroth@lucascountypitcrew.com

We are an all volunteer organization and as such do not have the manpower to respond to phone calls. Stray dogs are handled by the Lucas County Dog Warden (419) 213-2800 and abuse/cruelty concerns are handled by the cruelty officers at the Toledo Area Humane Society (419) 891-0705. We do not operate a shelter and all of our adoptable dogs live in foster homes throughout the community. To inquire about adoption you can check the schedule for our adoption events on the Calendar Page of this website or email pitcrewapplication@gmail.com to apply to adopt.
